Thumbs up Advanced Jazz/Blues Vol 2

Now I loved the laid-back swing feel of Vol 1, but Vol 2 has that "bounce" I have been searching for in a jazzy-blues lesson. I have just completed the first 12 bars and am practicing to make sure it sounds in time and with the right dynamics, and I'm doing ok so far.

Its one of those performance pieces that you really want to learn well, because it has that up-tempo pop to it and a 4 measure walkup & down to give it that jazzy propulsion. This volume is a bit more bluesier than the previous one, but no complaints here.

I know I can perform the whole piece given time and actually convince some friends of mine I have some classy chops after years of rock riffs on the guitar.

Thanks for another great lesson, Willie.

Default "Classy Chops"

It's nice to hear about your progress. I can identify with wanting to get things just right for performance. I've had a similar experience with "Slow Bluesy Ragtime", which I'm finally getting up to speed after much time and effort!

Perhaps there will be an opportunity to post our playing at some point?
