If you are getting a blank or black screen when switching between chapters and you are using FireFox, try disabling any plugins that you have active.

On the mac, I have noticed that when this happens, if I turn off my plugins, everything works fine.

If you are still having trouble, please click on the bug icon http://www.mylessonclub.com/img/icons/bug.png found next to each lesson title. Fill out that form as completely as possible. Thanks!

Hi Willie
I'm having lots of problems loading videos for jazz gospel. Only 2 of them load and play well. for all the rest I get error on page and the blank/black screen. I downloaded firefox but didn't help. Just slowed things up and didnt load. turned off firewall as well. Nothing has worked so far. don't know what else to do. I use vista. is that a problem?

To Jeannah101 and other students.

I know that nothing is more frustrating than a video not loading. I've gone through some testing and this is what I have found. Sometimes when moving from one video to another before letting the video load seems to hang up the system.

For instance, you click on a chapter and then before it finishes loading (not playing, loading is the white bar) you move to a new chapter, and you do this several times, it hangs up the videos. I'm not sure why this is happening, but I have not noticed it on the Gospel site.

However, here is the good news. After waiting about 5 minutes then coming back to the video and reloading it...it works fine. So, this is a tricky problem to troubleshoot because it does not happen the same time every time.

Solution: I know that this is not the best solution, but I'd suggest clicking on a movie and wait for it to load completely before moving to the next movie. Giving the system time to "catch up" to you seems to resolve the issue.

Please post your thoughts and what has worked for you.

UPDATE:

This problem might be something going on with the CDN network that streams the videos. If it is, it is most likely a temporary problem.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I will be checking up on this.

Hi Willie,

I am still not able to view any of the videos on the jazz gospel site. I have gone through the suggestions in the support section however the videos won't play. I have the lastest versions of Firefox and Flash. Please help, I want to get started soon.

Bertrand

Hi Bertrand,

You may need to scale back flash to version 9. Version 10 and the new firefox seem to have some trouble.

Please submit a trouble ticket so that we can get all of your information. I need to know if you can see anything or hear anything when you click on the video.

I get a message saying the flash player is not installed.v When I try to install the player I get a message to close firefox. When I do close Firefox I loose everything. And I keep getting told to close firefox after it has been closed. Very frustrating.
