It used to be that if the volume was not loud enough, I could go to the headphone symbol and move the volume level (red thermometer) from half way all the way up.

Something changed recently. The most I can get out now is 50%. If I touch the headphone icon the sound now mutes or stays at the 50% level.

I don't really like using headphones to listen to the lessons but the default (now maximum) volume that I can get while playing the lessons is not really enough for me. Is there any kind of over-ride? Am I stuck with this and do other people have a similar problem? (I am using Firefox on a Mac if that has any relevance at all)

I just tried the "Stormy Weather" lesson video 1 and the volume control icon worked for me. I use Safari with a Mac. This is a stupid question, but I am going to ask it anyway. Is the volume on your computer turned up?

I run my Mac and my keyboard thru a mixer so that I can play along with the lesson. Also, the mixer acts as a preamp for the Mac.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, the volume on the Mac was as high as it could go (F5 Key) .

However, today the lesson viewer seems to be working as it used to (fingers crossed).

Just to jump in here, the Stormy Weather lesson also had a volume issue with the recording, so on that lesson my voice is low.
