Hello, I would like Willie to teach some piano in irish style. What do you all think? There is a rich tradition of tunes in celtic music plus a lot of rythmical resources to explore in the piano. This is beautiful music and very suitable for variation and improvisation.

Funny, I was just thinking of this a few days ago. I think there are some beautiful songs that can be done. What are some favorites? Please list them here...

It is great you were thinking about this too, Willie. This irish style could easily do for a whole new site like jazz, or blues or the others.
I was thinking in some piano in the style of Paul Machlis, or the guys from Battlefield Band, have you heard them?
As for songs there are many interesting ones, slow and fast, like: Gaelic Air, Niel Gow´s Lament for his second wife, The Swallowtail Jig, The Maid Behind the Bar or Sleepy Maggie.
Thanks, really looking forward to some of these.

Irish is rich and great.
But I rather think you should expand this to World Music for piano, where the irish could be an important part. World music is on the go now.
Looking forward too.
