Willie,
Just wanted to tell you thanks for my first unexpected and overwhelming success using the Piano Christmas video. I haven't played for anyone except myself for 20 years or or more, but when my wife said she was having a business meeting at our house, I thought there might be an outside chance that someone would see the piano and ask me to play something. So I became a member of JazzPianoLessons.com, watched the DVD and vigorously practiced Silent Night. Then the big night arrived. When refreshments were being served and people started chatting, I decided to risk it and play anyway, without being asked. No sooner had I finsihed Silent Night, than a couple people came up to the piano and asked me to play something else. I rummaged around for that old "170 Christmas Songs" buried deep in the piano bench, hoping I could manage something. Well, I ended up spending the whole next hour playing song after song as half the people there came up and starting singing along. They just kept turning the pages and saying, "Play this one!" "I haven't heart that one in ages." etc. So, thanks again. Maybe by the time I retire, I'll be ready to become that lounge pianist I've always dreamed of being.
