Hi Willie

What a great lesson and song. Almost fell out of the chair :) I use the midi files on my digital piano. On the video I hear you have a base and drums, but when I play the midi it's drums and piano as base note? Doesn't sound so good as in your video. I'm no midi expert, but usually the piano plays the same instrument as it does on my computer. Say if I download a midi with trumpet, then the piano also play the trumpet. Did you record it that way(with piano) or is there some compability(tricky word) issues? Would be nice to have the sound you got in the video.

Love the lick you do at around 15-16 sec into first chapter. Any way of breaking it down? Root on top all the time, slide into 3rd up to 5th, same again and slide 3rd down to lower root??? Just took a wild guess that you are in Eb:confused:

You should release it as a single, would make millions :)

Cheers

Any chance of doing the full song like you do in the intro with the rythm section and put it up as an MP3? I can't stop listening to it :D

Been working on this lesson now and love it. I've been playing the song like it says on the sheet music, and some of the vocings in part 1 sounds really bad on my piano, so I need to adjust them I guess. I never really quite got how the song should be played? Is it part 1 played 1 time first and then you to part 2 a couple of times and then end with part 1?

The playalongs are just for part 2 since the time signature is different? I also mentioned this before but the playalong played through my piano is drums and piano played low as base, but on your video you have drums and base? Anyways it the playalong sounds much better on your videos.

Hey Frank, if the voicings sound bad, it -might- be a tuning issue. Sometimes big voicings sound a little wonky if the piano is even slightly out of tune. Of course, sometimes it just takes time to get your ear adjusted to them.

Let me take a look at the lesson and see if I can at least get a drum beat for you. On the first part, I was only playing with drums. The bass sound is due to that electric piano sound I used.

Thanks Willie

I have a digital piano so it's not out of tune. I've noticed this before like shell voicings doesn not sound good either. Tried a demo of a software piano and that sounds much nicer.

I get the drumbeat by playing midi on my piano. I just taught it sounded better with a base instead of electric piano.

Hey Frank, I made a new arrangement for you! Remind me if you do not see it online after the 1st. I tweaked some chords and added a few things.
