View Full Version : 3 day Free....but!
All your material looks great Willie, I'm excited, but am only able to to view one video at a viewing, ie after viewing one I then get the black screen which never loads. If I reboot my computer and re log in, I can view another one video.....this is too painfull and time consuming. in the three days I've watched about 6 video's.
I am on windows explorer and reluctant to change to firefox...I can see the bouncing blue ball.
Best wishes for all you do!
Cheers from New Zealand.

I know you thought carefully about it, this is just to say that you really lose nothing trying firefox. It's a fantastic product. And Willie, for what I know, gave up support for IE.
Cheers,

Hi Jimu,
Yes, Internet Explorer has been just too much to support. However, the new member area 3.0 might prove to work better with IE.
If you install Firefox, you can still continue to use IE for everything else.

The new member area is almost ready. And...there will be a 30-day FREE trial.
You will be able to access about 120 videos ~10% of the site for free.
This new area should work fine with IE as well. So, my suggestion is to check the site again in Jan 2010 and get a 30-day free trial then.

Any chance of a teaser for the blues site for us non-gold members. Still got a lot of material to cover on the Jazz site, so I'm holding off the Gold membership. It's hard to hold off with all the new sites etc

I'm a Gold member and have been working on some of the new Blues material over the past couple of days. Currently there are two lessons "Basic Blues" and "15 Blues Licks". I think the Basic Blues section is necessary and a great starting point to either review or get your basics down pretty good. For me I've particularly enjoyed the 15 Licks Lesson the best.
I'm basically a jazz/funk player and after completing the "Stable Funk Composition" Lesson I found the 15 Blues Licks awesome for improvisational ideas. I broke down the chord progression and slapped those licks on top improvising from there. The results were a blast and my tip is to definitely use the licks as a starting point for your own fresh ideas too.
In addition to learning more about the blues in itself, these licks can definitely apply to rock, funk, and jazz if you know your scales and direction to blend them in. In fact, thanks to Willie, I've discovered that I need more blues in my playing because it sounds so great against some of the Jazz funk progressions I'm working with.
In any event, some advanced players might think the blues section is basic, but Willie needs to start somewhere and I think he's done a great job so far covering the initial bases. Not to mention he's just started and I can't wait to see what he has lined up for future blues videos. It's funny, I think I spent like an hour just coming up with ideas based on a couple of quartal blues licks he presented. I also dig those fancy slide licks where your finger slides off the key and hits another one. This is a great example of getting funky with the blues. It's also fun combining several licks and running up and down the keyboard. I hope Willie does more of that.
Perhaps Willie will have a teaser out shortly, not sure. It's a fun set of lessons though.

I am putting together a brand new members area that will also have a new trial. You can signup for a 30-day trial (soon) and get access to about 10% of the videos. I will send out a mass email once it is done and you'll see a change at the sites as well.
