Willie,
I have started study on your new lesson "Georgia". I like the slower speed that you are doing the reharmonization on - almost three long chapters on just the first four measures - extremely helpful!
My question is the Bb - Eb - F progression in Measure 4-5. As you said, the Eb completes a ii - V (Bbm7 - Eb7) which would to my mind be a temporary key change to Ab. But I learned that that Eb also resolves nicely to the F major.
So is the Eb7 functioning as a bVII - I in the key of F? It sounds great, but why does that work? So if I am thinking in the key of F, the progression of Bbm7 - Eb7 - F is a IVm - bVII - I??
Bill
