Hi Willie,
I often hear jazz pianists effecting a kind of piano glissando whereby after they've finished their solo, they play something that "falls" down the keys. It's sort of like the musical version of a verbal "y'know" attached to the end of a sentence in conversation. It sounds way cool.
Could you tell us how to do this? Is it just a matter of sliding the thumb down 5 or 6 adjacent white keys? When I do it, it sounds so stiff and, well, just wrong. Are there certain conditions, like you can only do it when playing in the key of C Major or a minor or in Aeolian mode where there are no black keys?
Thanks,
Mitz
